Meet Cettina Musumarra, the amazing founder and manager of Hampstead Piano Lessons! With over 10 years of experience teaching piano, Cettina is a true music enthusiast who loves sharing her passion with others.
Cettina's journey with the piano began when she was young. Now, she's dedicated her life to helping aspiring musicians find their own joy in playing. Her extensive knowledge of different piano techniques and styles allows her to provide a well-rounded education to her students.
What sets Cettina apart is her ability to create a warm and supportive environment for her students. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced player, she'll meet you where you're at and help you reach your musical goals. Her patience and understanding make learning a pleasant experience for everyone.
Outside of her work with Hampstead Piano Lessons, Cettina still loves to perform as a solo pianist and in ensembles. Her expressive playing and heartfelt performances have touched the hearts of many. She truly believes that music has the power to enrich our lives, and she's determined to pass on this belief to all her students.

I am an Iranian composer currently based in the UK, as a recipient of the prestigious Global Talent Visa. My works are performed in renowned international venues and festivals, by a number of the world's most esteemed musicians. Notable venues and festivals that have programmed my compositions include the Suntory Hall in Tokyo, the La Roqued’Anthéron Piano Festival, the Biarritz Festival, the Janacek Academy of Music and Performing Arts, and the Karlskrona International Piano Festival.
As a composer, I also share my insights and expertise with music enthusiasts worldwide as a freelance writer for Harmonytalk music journal.
I believe in sharing knowledge and passion for music, which I do through teaching composition, orchestration, music theory, and music history. In my music studio located in the charming Kent Paddock Wood, I give personalised lessons in piano up to Grade 5 and music theory up to Grade 8. I teach students of all ages, from four-year-olds to adults, and I also provide the flexibility of teaching in the comfort of students' homes or through online platforms. Whether you are a beginner or have some experience, each lesson is individually tailored to meet your unique needs and goals, ensuring an enriching and rewarding learning experience.

I am a versatile and dedicated music teacher with a profound background in both classical and jazz music. Holding a Bachelor's degree in Jazz and possessing a strong foundation in classical music, I bring a unique blend of expertise to my teaching practice. With a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a valid DBS certification, I am committed to providing high-quality music education to both children and adults.
Teaching Expertise: I specialize in preparing students for the ABRSM and Trinity music syllabuses, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of music theory, technique, and performance. What sets my teaching style apart is my passion for incorporating singing into lessons, especially with young learners. As a trained singer, I believe that vocal expression is a fundamental aspect of musical education, enriching the overall learning experience.
Holistic Approach: In addition to instrumental training, I offer guidance in songwriting and teach students how to accompany themselves on the piano as singers. This holistic approach allows my students to explore their creativity and develop a deeper connection with music. I believe in nurturing not only technical proficiency but also a love for music that lasts a lifetime.
